Sen. Pendleton Cleared After Long Witch Hunt

The Attorney Generals Office cleared State Senator Joey Pendleton of any wrong doing from a partisan complaint that was filed years ago. Pendleton, who served many years as the Farm Manager at Murray State University had been accused of- what I'm not real sure but something about being paid as an MSU employee while serving in the Legislature.

Murray State University President Randy Dunn cut the position and the Agriculture budget when he became President. Dunn came to Kentucky after his exodus from Illinois as a political lieutenant to indicted former Governor Blagojevich.

I'm glad this matter has come to a close and I know Senator Pendleton is also glad to put this lame issue to rest. Many a political opportunist have hung this issue over Senator Pendleton's head using the issue at hand as a tool for political blackmail. In the end if your going to throw skubala at a State Senator of 17 years you better hope it sticks, because I would imagine the good Senator being a farmer probably has a field or two of it to throw back.

Sounds like Murray's prez is out of touch with reality. He slashed a sitting State Senator from the budget On purpose, buys land in Paducah for alot of money knowing Frankfort would not approve a new building, calls a State Rep. a liar in a local paper, no longer is ranked in Kiplinger's, can't fill the dorms and students are not flocking to Murray like they are to other regional university and he has ignored the BVC and the Hoptown campus. I thought you were going to do a story on this failure of this presidency and Murray, once the crown jewel of higher Ed in Ky. is now a cheap cz

George's post would be better if it didn't have so many grammatical errors. I recently read a Paducah News Channel 6 story that stated MSU's president is still thinks he can get money for a Paducah campus. Who is advising this guy? Oh wait, I know it's a backstabbing former state senator that lies anytime he opens his mouth. A VP who has hired his frat brother to run Murray's campaign. Spending millions on a new campus won't help the dismal enrollment numbers. I also saw in the Ledger that Dunn thinks enrollment is tied to their capital campaign. Really? When is the board and lawmakers realize this moron is ruining the school, it's future, and damaging the region's greatest strength, Agriculture. He has cut the Ag budget, ignores Hoptown and has let MSU other distant campuses fall apart. Is there anyway Western Ky. University run the
BVC? They know and care about this region's farmers. Hey Crit why don't you audit Murray? I'm sure their spending practices would open some eyes. Some told me Murray president had a Deputy Chief of Staff earning nearly 100,000 dollars. The average salary at Murray is around $35,000.

My kid is not going to Murray. I'm also not giving a dime to their campaign. I keep getting letters asking me to do so. I wonder how much money is being wasted?

Speaking of wasted money, I wonder if Dandy Randy will spend his own money on traveling to Murray's NCAA game. I bet he allows the university to spend a boat load. He will go, take his wife and Chief of Staff and his wife. I'm sure every member of the Carter family whom are all employed by Murray will go, Development will use as it an excuse to "see" donors. As the state legislature continues to cut higher ed, Redneck Randy will continue to do nothing and go to Calf., instead of meeting with Ky. Senate and actually try to do his job and save the faculty and staff from cuts. What an absolute joke and what is a bigger joke are the board members who know this guy is a joke and does nothing about it. I think Curris and others left their spine somewhere on 641. Dear fellow faculty and staff, the president and do-nothing board are the reason for the cuts we are about to face. We also are at fault for standing and watching this train wreck.

I would like for someone to elaborate on the relationship between Dr. Dunn and Blago. I did a simple Google search and found where Dr. Dunn was chair of a board that was included in the Blago investigation.

I just want someone to tell me what this baffoon has done since 2006? Nothing, that's right, not a single positive step forward has been taken. The guy is a loser and has ruined MSU. I bet the arrogant and ignorant leader of MSU is trying to credit for the basketball team's success. If I remember correctly, it was the Alexanders that put MSU athletics in a position. King hired the AD and daddy hired the basketball coach. Bring them back. I didn't like them but at least they put the university first. They also knew how to get it done in Frankfort. I bet they would have built a new BVC. Thanks Dunn for screwing AG yet again.

Dr. Dunn-know-a-thing strikes again. This time he screws up the Provost search. Glad to see you don't care about the faculty. You saved you own butt by your choice but the process was as flawed as your presidency. You continue to follow your own policy of ignorance and arrogance. I have got an idea for you, why don't you go explore the world around you and stop leading MSU down the road of continous failure.

We all know Dunn sucks, so we need the new regents to boot this moron back to southern Illinois in July.

Well Dr. Dunce has struck again. The go-teed one shows up in the Paducah Sun with a strong message of gotta have an extended campus and big fancy building in Paducah. Glad to know he panders and fights for bricks when the faculty and staff are underpaid (but not his personal staff) and he cuts Ag, ignores other extended campuses and can't even finish the Science Complex. Unlike other presidents who were fighting for a budget in Frankfort, Randy feels it's more important to visit the Sun and talk about a building. Glad to know Randy cares more about a building 45 minutes away than the main campus.
